Jude the Obscure. Director's commentary: This is a pretentious entry in which your humble narrator becomes infatuated with a quote from a Thomas Hardy novel. Look, I was reading it at the time and it spoke to me, OK? The writing is beautiful, though, and it still moves me to tears.
